A hard fought but deserved victory on the road as the Ravens beat Boreham Wood 2-0, going unbeaten in four out of their last five league games.

The home side started strong winning four corners inside 15 minutes, but causing no real goal threat.

The first chance came from the home side on the eighth minute as Lee Ndlovu bullied the defence before getting the ball into the box, which was cleared comfortably by captain Byron Webster.

The momentum switched on 22nd minute as Bromley applied pressure inside Boreham Woods box, with the ball ending in Nathan Ashmore’s hands.

The deadlock was broken by the visitors on 31st minute, Michael Cheek drove at the Wood defence, slipping the ball through to Adam Marriott who slid it into the bottom corner.

Tom Smith was called into action when he denied a Boreham Wood header, making a fantastic save to keep the score at 1-0.

As we approach the last 30 minutes of play, Ethan Coleman played the ball into the box, before it is met by the towering header of Cheek, which ricochet off the right sided post before Marriott tapped in for his second.

With what was nine minutes of additional time, Cheek could have sealed the deal when he went one on one with the goalkeeper, but his effort bounced off Nathan Ashmore.

The Ravens showed the last real gasp as the ball was crossed over to Jude Arthurs whose half volley blazed over the bar.

Bromley left with the three points and a step in the right direction as they go fourth and look to continue this positive run of form on Saturday 8th October as they host Gateshead.
