Despite an Olufela Olomola brace, the Ravens were forced to come away with a point when hosting fourth placed Altrincham on Saturday.

The Ravens, who welcomed back Alex Kirk to the starting 11, got off to the stronger of starts, especially when Corey Whitely tried his luck from the edge of the area with only two minutes into the game.

Jude Arthurs was on corner duties and his early dead-ball found Michael Cheek who looped a header in towards Bes Topalloj, but the tricky full-back saw his shot blocked.

Up the other end and Altrincham took the lead when Alty star man Chris Conn-Clarke fired home goal number one via a deflection.

Cheek’s first chance of the game came on 27 minutes when his strike, after latching onto the end of a free-kick, was saved as the visitors went into half-time in front.

Drama unfolded early into the second 45 when Elliot Osborne was shown a second yellow card meaning the travelling side were reduced to 10 for the remainder of the game.

The one-man disadvantage proved costly for Altrincham as Olomola slotted home the equaliser as a throw-in was pulled back by Byron Webster to set up the number 29.

Bromley were then reduced to 10 men too when Arthurs saw red for a strong challenge soon after the leveller.

The Ravens’ in-form front-man was at it again just past the hour mark to turn the game on its head, firing home his brace.

Lewis Leigh caused problems when he came on, including an effort which bounced narrowly past the post.

Kirk was hunting for goal number three when he charged forward before seeing a tight-angled effort saved.

Leigh produced a glorious through-ball to Ben Krauhaus who couldn’t quite poke home and extend Bromley’s advantage, beating the ‘keeper, but not the post.

Dior Angus struck against the upright moments before counter-attacking play by Louis Dennis saw the number 11 charge forward before firing just wide of the post.

During the seven minutes of stoppage time, Alex Newby popped up with a fantastic free-kick to send the 95 travelling fans home with something to smile about.
