Bromley rounded off pre-season with a 1-1 draw at home to Chelsea Xl on Saturday.

The first chance fell in the way of the visitors as Joe Haigh fired from distance, but his effort fizzed just past the post.

Up the other end, though, and Bromley nearly opened the scoring themselves with Adam Marriott seeing a low effort roll wide.

The striker was in the thick of it again after some great play from Harry Forster to set him up, however, the scores remained goalless.

The dead-lock was eventually broken on 25 minutes though. Some more fantastic attacking play from Bromley was rounded off with Corey Whitely smashing the ball into the net from close range.

Haigh saw another effort denied, this time by Bromley’s trialist ‘keeper before the stopper was there to make a great save to prevent Dylan Williams netting.

Billy Bingham then saw his effort saved as the hosts returned to the changing rooms in front.

Chances fell to Michael Cheek and Marriott in the second half before Bingham saw a dangerous free-kick curl onto the post.

However, it was the visitors who scored next, equalising from a free-kick.

The game ended a draw with the Ravens now turning their attentions to next weekend’s trip to Wealdstone.
