A minutes silence was observed as we paid our respects to Her Majesty The Queen before kick-off, followed by a rendition of the national anthem by Peter Fiorini.

Seconds into the second period, Maidstone took a well-struck shot which Charles-Cook saves. Minutes after, a chance from Bromley fell to Marriott who slotted the ball into the net with ease in the 48th minute to make it 3-0 to the hosts.

Another chance came from a floating cross from Forster, which Cheek headed, but is saved by the Maidstone keeper. As we approached the 66th Minute, a great through ball is played Omar Sowunmi to Marriott whose shot fell just wide of the post.

Moments later, ‘keeper Reice Charles-Cook is stretchered off, after looking is deep discomfort, for defender Chris Bush, who made another appearance in goal.

Back underway, a golden opportunity came from a well low-driven cross to Whitely which he skied over the bar. Five minutes into stoppage time, we saw a peculiar chance from Bromley, after a challenge from Maidstone’s Gavin Hoyte on Forster nearly looping into the net of his own net.
