Goals from Michael Cheek and Callum Reynolds sealed a 2-0 win over Dorking Wanderers at Meadowbank on Friday.

It took just 13 minutes for the Ravens to break the dead-lock when Olufela Olomola found Cheek who calmly slotted home, finding the bottom right corner.

Up the other end, though, and Dorking had a chance of their own when Niall McManus cut inside before firing towards goal, but Lewis Thomas had it covered.

One should have become two on 25 minutes when Corey Whitely first saw his effort saved after driving forward before Cheek, hunting for his brace, saw a header denied by the Dorking ‘keeper too.

Bromley finished the half having already made their first sub when Ben Krauhaus was forced off with an injury and was replaced by Josh Passley minutes before the break.

The first chance of the second half fell the visitors’ way when Olomola hit the post from just a couple of yards out.

Bromley then had three chances in five seconds when the clock hit the hour mark. The first was blocked off the line before the second hit the crossbar leading to the final chance denied by the post.

Ashley Charles then tried his luck from outside the area, forcing the Dorking ‘keeper to tip his effort over the bar.

The Ravens did eventually have their second when Idris Odutayo floated in a corner towards the far-post for Reynolds to leap and head home number two.

Bromley saw out the clean sheet, but not before Thomas made an extraordinary save on 79 minutes to deny a header which was destined for the top corner.

Will Davies came on for his debut after signing from York on loan and he had two late chances to extend Bromley’s lead, but his first dragged wide of the post before the second saw him denied by a sliding tackle.

The Ravens returned to winning ways, sending 549 travelling Ravens back with smiles on their faces.
