10-man Bromley secured their fifth consecutive clean sheet in all competitions after a 1-0 win away at Wealdstone on Wednesday night with Michael Cheek netting a 74th minute winner.

Grant Smith received his marching orders with just over a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock which subsequently saw David Aziaya make his league debut, coming on for Corey Whitely.

Just past the half-hour mark, Callum Reynolds headed Jude Arthurs’ corner wide before Manny Duku dragged an effort wide of goal too.

After a goalless first period, Micah Obiero couldn’t convert from close range as Wealdstone pressed for an opener on 57 minutes.

Duku continued to hunt for a goal, but this time his strike flew narrowly over the bar on the hour mark before testing Aziaya moments later.

Ashley Charles, up against his former club, saw a free-kick bounce off the crossbar just minutes before Bromley did put their noses in front. Ben Krauhaus did well to set up Cheek who took a touch before firing into the bottom corner.

The Ravens held on to return to winning ways ahead of Saturday’s visit of York City.
