It was late drama in York as Bromley fell to a 2-1 defeat after conceding in stoppage time.

The Ravens could have taken an early lead as Adam Marriott looked to add to his tally for the season, drilling a low shot and forcing Ethan Ross into a save with only 13 seconds on the clock.

Up the other end and York could have had their noses in front when Maziar Kouhyar bent an effort just wide.

With 11 minutes gone, Corey Whitely attempted the spectacular from range, but it was saved by the York ‘keeper.

A chance fell to Michael Cheek from a tight angle before Bromley netted the opener. James Vennings whipped in a free-kick which eventually fell to Omar Sowunmi who struck home from close range to give the Ravens a half-time lead.

Marriott almost made it two early into the second half with two efforts before the hour mark. However, York equalised soon after when a corner was eventually bundled into the back of the Bromley net.

Callum Reynolds had a golden chance to win it late on, but it would be York who took away all three points after netting in the 93rd minute from another corner.

The Ravens are back in action on Saturday as we host Maidstone. Tickets can be purchased here.
