2023/24 Award Winners Confirmed at Broomfields Ceremony

After a fantastic 2023/24 which saw the men’s team clinch promotion to the Football League for the first time ever after our women’s team also cemented their highest ever league finish, we hosted our End of Season Awards Evening in Broomfields.

We began the evening with CEO Mark Hammond highlighting the impact the supporters and sponsors had on another successful season. During the awards ceremony, where we recognised the achievements of both the men’s and women’s team, we also celebrated our U17’s triumph in the U19 National League Alliance Academy Cup Final at St George’s Park, led by former Raven Scott Wagstaff.

A huge thank you to everyone who turned up to the event and for those who couldn’t make it, a full run-down of the awards winners can be found below:

Landmark Achievements

We began the evening by celebrating those who reached a century of appearances and beyond.

First up was Bromley Women’s Hannah Paige who reached 100 appearances in a Bromley shirt.

Presented by Assistant Manager Alan Dunne, there was also recognition for Jude Arthurs who also hit 100.

Skipper Byron Webster and Corey Whitely were also presented with landmark awards after surpassing 150 before Andy Woodman and Alan Dunne were also recognised for reaching the same tally too.

Michael Cheek and Louis Dennis rounded off the Landmark Achievements with the pair hitting 200 and 250 appearances respectively.

Golden Boot

It was then time to celebrate the two highest scorers at the club and first up, it was Charlotte Lee who netted a total of 38 league goals this season.

For the men’s, Cheek collected yet another Golden Boot award for bagging 23.

Young Player of the Season

We then moved on to our rising stars, highlighting the achievements of the youngest players at the club.

Bryony Hart excelled in her first season at Hayes Lane and it was topped off with a Young Player of the Season award.

Ben Krauhaus rounded off his final campaign in Bromley colours before moving on to Premier League Brentford by picking up the award too. He was presented with the achievement by Steve Aris, a person who has been instrumental in Ben’s development in recent years.

Players’ Player of the Season

Now it was time for the players to have their say. Lee already bagged the Golden Boot award, but she wasn’t done there as she picked up the Players’ Player award too.

After a fantastic speech by skipper Webster as he praised each of his team mates, he presented Corey Whitely with the award for the men’s.

Manager’s Player of the Season

By the time Charlotte Lee had regained her spot at the table, she was called back up as she was selected as the stand-out performer by boss Dean Davenport.

Chosen by Andy Woodman and fresh from his penalty shoot-out heroics at Wembley, goalkeeper Grant Smith also collected the achievement.

Community Player of the Season

This next award was selected by our Bromley FC Trust team following another year of player appearances at schools and other Community events.

For the women’s team and for the second season running, goalkeeper Sophie Pourou picked up the award whilst James Vennings tallied up the most Community appearances as he was also presented with the Community Player of the Season award.

Supporters’ Player of the Season

It was then time for the big one – the stand-out player, chosen by you, the supporters.

After totalling up the votes, Beth Hull was your Player of the Season for the women’s team after some outstanding performances and a handful of goals along the way, including a last minute winner in the FA Cup against AFC Portchester.

Going up for his second award of the night was Smith who collected the most votes too.

Chairman’s Player of the Season

We concluded the evening with Owner and Chairman Robin Stanton-Gleaves picking his stand-out players. For the women’s, and for her second consecutive award, Hull was up again to collect the Chairman’s Player.

For the men’s team, the Chairman selected two players and to round off the night, the Chairman’s players of the season were Webster and Cheek!

A huge thank you to everyone who attended. We hope you all had a fantastic night.

Bring on 2024/25!
