We are delighted to confirm that Academy Scholar Frankie Hvid has signed a professional contract at Championship side Millwall.

The defender arrived at Hayes Lane four years ago and his development has been a very pleasing watch for everyone associated with Bromley FC.

Labelled as a ‘superb defender’ and a ‘natural leader’ from Academy coach Jamel Wojtczak, Hvid has also demonstrated his attacking threat too, netting for our U18s and U23s on multiple occasions this season.

His performances in the FA Youth Cup really encapsulated him as a player and a person. He is mentally very strong and embraces a challenge head on. Hvid netted the Ravens’ only goal in their FA Youth Cup second round tie against Ipswich Town back in November.

His journey at the football club hasn’t always been smooth and it is a great example for young players that there are always opportunities out there, with the right application and a bit of luck along the way.
