Academy graduate success!

  • Academy

The big day had arrived last week for the Bromley Football Club Academy 2nd year Scholars and in particular for Tom Hefford.

Tom, who is a 2nd year Academy Scholar, was hoping to get his grades in order go to his chosen university. The Academy goalkeeper opened his results letter and was filled with joy to learn he can go to his chosen university.

He attained a triple distinction star which is the highest award in the BTEC Sport qualification. It was great news and well received by his family and Academy Scholar players.

Tom will be fortunate enough to attend his first choice destination, which was Brighton University, and will study Sport and exercise science. He made this selection from attending the careers day in 2016 and now down to his hard work and dedication he can pursue a future in teaching or coaching in the elite environment.

This is an outstanding achievement and one that Bromley Football Club want to celebrate with him. We wish him all the best for his future and thank him for being a first class Bromley Football Club Academy role model.

Tom over his two year scholarship Represented the Academy in the FA Youth Cup, regularly played in the the National League Youth Alliance, trained with the first team squad and represented the Academy throughout the Real Madrid tour in 2017

Good luck, Tom!
