With a month of the season underway it’s been a busy first half term for the Academy.
Last week the scholars, who have now broken for half term, voted for who they wanted as their team captains along with an overall club captain. They also attended the final academy briefing of the term where the scholars received awards for full attendance and punctuality.
Our second year side Bromley Blues picked up a great 6-0 win away at Watford last week to secure their place in the next round of The National League Cup. A hat-trick from Trey Small was joined by goals from Michak Stanic-Stewart, Ersan Cindrak and Daniel Morais. Luck was against the Blues this week however when they lost 3-2 to Eastbourne Borough at home, conceding three penalties. Daniel Ajakaiye and Trey Small with the goals for Bromley.
Bromley Whites have started the season well with two victories and just the one defeat.
Bromley Reds currently sit sixth in the league following two defeats and two wins in the opening four league games.
Bromley Yellows have had a slow start to the season with just one win in three games. Their most recent game was against West Ham Foundation narrowly loosing 4-2 away from home.
The Academy are also very proud that one of our scholars, Kenneth Roberts is currently on a trial with Charlton Athletic.
In fixture news Bromley Academy are looking forward to their prestigious friendly with Leicester City which will take place on Wednesday 26th October at The Warren, kick off 1pm. Admission will be £1 for supporters wishing to attend.
