Day 1 of Remote Learning and Training

Academy Director Mark Hammond provides an update on the operations of the Academy following the closure of Schools on Friday.

Head of Academy Tom Beaumont and I have designed and developed an innovative remote learning platform for all BFCA scholars.

The BFCA education team (Matt Griffiths, Jack Jolley, Calum McGeehan and Darren Anslow) have created an online curriculum for each player to work towards and ultimately help them gain their qualification. Darren Anslow and his staff have built video tutorials, task and assessment tracking documents and blended learning sessions to help with this process.

Sue Whittaker and Keeley Deighton have designed strategies to help manage with the safety and welfare of all staff and players which is the number one priority throughout these unprecedented times. BFCA are further developing plans to deliver and test the players’ fitness and manage their mental health online.

U23s coach Danny Mills will be overseeing and monitoring our U23 players, ensuring they are doing their upmost within the limitations of their own environments.

There will be weekly updates to help celebrate attendance, coursework assignments and tracking their fitness data programmes for Academy scholars.
