Bromley Football Club are delighted to share the news that Academy graduate Mia Lockett has joined up with Women’s Super League side Tottenham Hotspur, earning a place in their WSL Academy squad.
Lockett has just completed her BTEC Sport two year scholarship course with Bromley Football Club Academy and has played a crucial role being a part of the flagship Girls Academy class of 2018-20.
She captained the team to runners up in the League and Cup, as well as regularly featuring as an ambassador within our community Saturday Soccer Schools and Holiday Soccer Camps where she coaches the aspiring future footballers from the Borough.
Following her graduation from the Academy Mia has joined up with Super League club Tottenham Hotspur, earning a place in their WSL Academy. Lockett will continue to be a coach for our Community Scheme and will also take on a new full-time position as a coach for the Girls Academy.
On hearing the news Academy Director Mark Hammond shared his delight;
“This is an amazing achievement and is the first of our girls players to progress onto the big stage.”
He continued;
“The final celebration goes to Bromley Football Club Academy though, as we will now see Mia join our full time coaching staff. Mia will begin the start of her coaching career here with us and pass on her experience and support to the Girls Academy footballing pathways.”
The Bromley FC Academy is proudly supported by Go Travel, Skillcrown and LifeLab.
