Bromley Football Club are excited to announce a further Academy partnership in collaboration with Education for the 21st Century (E21C) which will see the launch of a post 16-19 academy in 2018/19 based at Spires Academy in Canterbury.
This collaboration based on inclusion will aim to offer greater opportunities and curriculum choices at Post 16. Spires intend to open its doors to 30 plus successfully chosen players in September 2018 who can each benefit from a high quality education within football. The curriculum choices will include: BTEC Sport Extended Diploma, FA coaching awards and in 2019/20 academic year, Spires Academy will further incorporate a full ‘A’ level provision which will increase options for players pursuing particular career pathways suited for their requirements.
Chris Wallis, Assistant Deputy Headteacher of The Spires Academy commented; “We’re delighted to be engaging with Bromley Football Club in a unique partnership offering fantastic post 16 pathways for current Spires students and new scholars on a programme of quality education with elite sports coaching.”
Mark Hammond, Director of BFCA commented; “We’re delighted to be continuing the growth of our Bromley FC Academy programme. Our recruitment strategy is to target the potential talented players within both our Borough and the rest of Kent. This allows us to recognise, develop and retain the players that aspire to play for Bromley Football Club despite being outside of our Borough.”
