Youth Academy Summary: Saturday 4th March

It proved to be an unbeaten weekend for our JPL sides on Saturday as we have three wins and two draws to report.

Starting with our U12 Boys and they enjoyed a nine-goal thriller at the weekend as they came up against South Park, winning 5-4. Despite falling 4-0 behind with half-an-hour on the clock, the Ravens produced a brilliant fight back to clinch the win. A formation change was introduced  to create an overload in midfield. The all-round determination and passion was clear to see and shout-out to Riley Humphries who put in a Player of the Match performance.

As for our U13 Boys, they drew 1-1 with PSA, conceding a deflected shot towards the end of the game, despite dominating proceedings. Noah Winchcombe and Jude Powers put in stand-out displays on the day.

Moving on to our U14 Boys and they beat Most Wanted Elite 3-2. The Ravens started the game well and controlled the game in the early stages, going 2-0 up. However, they allowed the opposition to turn the game into a more physical end to end battle which allowed the opposition to equalise. Late on, though, Bromley nicked the win. A goal from Jack Denton and a Sebastian Amatai brace sealed the win with goalkeeper Zak Howard and Ben Goodwin also putting in brilliant performances.

London Legends came up against our U15 Boys and drew 0-0, despite the Ravens finding the net, only for the goal to be disallowed. A game full of Bromley chances saw Theo Lancaster pick up the Player of the Match award after keeping a clean sheet.

As for our U16 Girls, they beat London Football Talent Centre 4-2 with Anna Tilley putting in a brilliant performance in central midfield with striker Esme Johnson also receiving a shout-out for netting a brace.

As ever, a huge thank you to Group LK and Glemnet for their continued support.
