It proved to be a positive set of Youth Academy results over the weekend and we start with our U14 Boys who played Brighton’s U16 Women. The Ravens won 3-0 thanks to goals from Antony Hayward and a Makai Hamilton brace, both netting their first of the season. Liam Danaher put in a Player of the Match performance.
As for our U14 Girls, they beat London Football Talent Centre 10-0 with Emiko Chia and Player of the Match Gabrielle Reeves adding to braces from Martha Beadle, Aaliyah Mansouri, Isla Mason and Amber Corner. A fantastic result!
Moving on to our U15 Boys and they beat Welling 3-2 with Seb Amatai bagging two whilst Harry Ejje netted the other. Seb came away with the Player of the Match award after playing in a more advanced position in the first half before partnering Ashton in central defence in the second period.
Our U16 Girls faced a tough test against Ipswich and unfortunately lost 4-0 in what proved to be a learning curve for the side.
Our U16 Boys won though, beating Woking 5-3. They found themselves 3-2 down before flipping the game on its head and coming away 5-3 winners. Jedd Hobbs and Zane Rayfield netted braces whilst Feranmi Dada also wrote his name on the score-sheet. Special mention to Frankie Humphries who put in a fantastic performance in and out of possession from left centre-back.
As ever, a huge thank you to Glemnet and Group LK for their continued support.
