Youth Academy update: Saturday 7th October

Last weekend saw our JPL sides embark on another round of fixtures as we report another mixed bag of results.

Starting with our U14 Girls, they lost at home to Millwall. Starting strong, they found themselves 1-0 up within five minutes thanks to an Emily Kennedy free-kick.

However, Millwall hit back 25 minutes into the game and proved to be an even encounter until the visitors scored four in 10 minutes at the final quarter.

As for our U16 Boys, they beat West Ham Foundation 6-1 in what proved to be a fantastic performance.

Not only that, but each goal came from a different scorer. Feranmi Dada and Freddie Sinclair wrote their names on the score-sheet, as did Zane Rainfield, Jedd Hobbs, George Rees and Jack Denton. Zane also picked up the Player of the Match award.

Moving onto our U16 Girls and they also enjoyed victory at the weekend, beating VCD Athletic 4-3.

They proved to be the most physical team our U16 Girls came up against so far, coming from behind twice to win the game. The girls showed a fantastic attitude and despite thing going against them, they never gave in. Ava Killaly netted a brace whilst Bella Hogg and Player of the Match Ruby Birch also found the net.

Our U12 Boys lost 3-1 to Metrogas with Lukas Philipps netting for the Ravens and Sam Philby putting in a fantastic performance whilst our U14’s Boys lost 3-0 to national champions Welling. Josan Hassan put in a stand-out performance in a strong Bromley display against tough opposition.

As ever, a huge thank you to Glemnet and Group LK for their continued support.
