Youth Academy update: Saturday 9th September

As we embark on 2023/24, we are delighted to see the start of the new JPL season as our Youth Academies return to action.

Our U12 Boys showed great spirit to beat Greenwich Peninsula 4-3 with goals coming from Isaac Varela, Lukas Philipps and a brace from Elliot Morris.

Elliot showed a constant threat on the counter-attack and received the Player of the Match award.

As for our U14 Boys, they unfortunately lost 3-0 to PSA whilst our U15 Boys beat Woking 5-4.

The side showed tremendous character to come back from 4-2 down to win on a very hot day. Goals came from Seb Amatai and braces from Jake Fowler and Jack Denton.

Tommy O’Donnell received Player of the Match for producing a stand-out performance.

Moving onto our U16 Girls and they narrowly lost 4-3 to Fleetdown. The Ravens found themselves 3-0 down at half-time before showing great character to pull it back to 3-3.

Niamh Stanley scored and put in a star performance with the other goals coming from Matilde Lopes and Martha Beadle who is an U14 player playing in a higher age group.

For those who follow Bromley FC on social media, you’ll have seen a stunning goal from Jedd Hobbs as our U16 Boys beat Woking 3-2.

The Ravens dominated the game for large portions as Zack Lina bagged twice as his goals alongside Jedd’s helped Bromley to a deserved win.

If you haven’t seen Jedd’s goal, head over to @bromleyfc on social media  and give it a watch! You won’t regret it!
