Bromley U23s update

The U23s were hoping to make it two wins on the bounce when they faced Aldershot Town at Hayes Lane on Friday 17th September and they did just that.

The Ravens, who currently sit fifth and six points off the peak of the table, came out on top under the lights, beating the Shots 4-1.

With 24 minutes on the clock, Soul Kader opened the scoring before Jack Smith unleashed a rocket of an effort from distance to double their lead in the second half.

The visitors pulled one back through Lucias Vine, but the Ravens netted again through Ben Krauhaus who later went on to complete his brace as Bromley came away with all three points.

Attentions then turned to Wednesday night as Steve Aris’ side played Cray Wanderers at Hayes Lane in a friendly.

Rhys Wyborn netted for the Ravens, but Cray hit back as the game ended 1-1.

However, the fixture was overshadowed by an injury to Bromley’s Tunji Obembe and everyone at the Club wishes him well in his recovery.

The Ravens were then set to face Chippenham Town in the cup on Saturday, but the game was eventually called off.

That means the U23s are next back in action on Tuesday 5th October as they travel to seventh placed Hartley Wintney in the league.
