Bromley Football Club’s open day, held on Saturday 19th May, was a huge success, enabling fans to meet and mingle with their heroes and wish them well ahead of the trip to Wembley.
Supporters, young and old, were able to watch the players in an open training session, before having the chance to mingle with the players and first team staff, as well as having photo and autograph opportunities.
The entire Bromley FC Youth Section were also invited, and each team walked through a guard of honour, formed by the first team, as well as warm applause from the supporters, who were able to purchase some last minute merchandise and enjoy a BBQ throughout the morning and afternoon.
Following this, the Club’s end of season player awards were announced on the pitch:
Committee Player of the Season – Jack Holland
Young Player of the Season – David Gregory
Players’ Player of the Season – Jack Holland
Managers’ Player of the Season – Louis Dennis
Supporters’ Player of the Season – Louis Dennis
After the conclusion of the awards, Club co-owners Jerry Dolke, Robin Stanton-Gleaves and Jon Plassard (above) were introduced to the crowd, with Stanton-Gleaves addressing the supporters in a speech regarding his involvement with the Club, the achievements made throughout the season, as well as the exciting plans for the Club’s Stadium development.
At the end of the afternoon, supporters were invited to join the first and youth teams on the pitch for a group photo, encapsulating the community spirit of the football club in one image.
