Club’s initial response to Supporters Survey

  • Club

Thank you to everyone who took part in the Supporters Survey.

The survey was set up to assist with one of our main objectives moving forward, which is to actively engage with our supporters to help our club thrive.

The Club remains focused on the objectives it set out back at the start of 2016, summarised below;

To make Bromley FC a financially sustainable, community-focussed football club playing at the highest level possible in the English game. We will achieve this by:

  • Developing home grown Academy talent
  • Actively engaging with our members, supporters and wider community
  • Delivering a viable financial performance within an integrated business strategy; and
  • Investing in our employees, pitches, stadium and educational facilities

As well as asking supporters to ‘mark’ areas of the club out of five, we also gave you the opportunity to raise any points and issues you had on certain subjects from the bars and catering to atmosphere and match promotions.

With such a large number of responses the club will be doing its upmost to address the matters raised and work on the ideas shared over the coming months and as a result we have launched a ‘You said We did’ campaign.

The idea is to provide an area on the official website (and in the match day programme) located in the ‘fans section’ (click here>) where we can regularly update supporters with various points and ideas that we have listened to and acted upon.

62% of supporters surveyed marked 4 and above (out of 5) for how appreciated and valued they feel by the Club. We want to improve on this and understand that improvements in fan engagement and communication need to be made.

We’re beginning the process of improving fan engagement with our ‘Meet the Manager’ evening organised for season ticket holders in July. We’d like to increase our supporters ‘sense of belonging’ within our club and will be working on a social calendar of supporters events to be announced ahead of the new season, which will include;

  • Players and Supporters Quiz Night
  • ‘An Evening with…’ Sporting Guest Q&A
  • Players and Supporters Christmas Party
  • Manager & Players Q&A
  • Band nights

On the communication front the club will continue to improve upon our recent progress. As a response to an idea raised by supporters, as part of the survey, we will shortly be publishing Q&A’s with the club’s directors to give supporters an insight into their professional backgrounds and how they became involved with our club.

As previously said we know we still have a long way to go to fulfil our objectives and that there are many areas we can improve on but we continue to make progress and we hope that initiatives such as the supporters survey, ‘Early Bird’ season tickets and the new ‘You said We did’ project demonstrates the ongoing commitment to our fellow supporters and our continued efforts to improve our club.

As ever if you would like to share your comments, thoughts and ideas with the Club please use the form below to share with us.
