Cole Kpekawa becomes second summer signing

Bromley Football Club can confirm the signing of defender Cole Kpekawa following his departure from fellow National League side Maidenhead United.

The Ravens’ newest arrival began his career at Queens Park Rangers where he’d go on to make one Premier League appearance, coming on as a late substitute against Leicester City in 2015.

The 27-year-old made a handful of Championship appearances for the R’s whilst also enjoying loan spells further down the pyramid at Colchester United, Portsmouth and Leyton Orient respectively.

His next permanent move came in 2016 as he signed for Championship side Barnsley in a spell which lasted one season before making the switch to Colchester, where he previously had a spell on loan.

Kpekawa then swapped England for Scotland in 2018, joining St Mirren before quickly returning to his home country by signing for National League South outfit Billericay Town.

August of 2020 saw him leave England again, this time signing for Slovakian side AS Trencin before spells at Chelmsford City and Hemel Hempstead followed ahead of his move to Maidenhead United last year.

Last season saw the defender make 25 appearances, netting on two occasions, including the only goal of the game in Bromley’s trip to York Road in October.

Our newest signing also has experience on the international stage after representing England at Under-20 level, making his debut against the Czech Republic before going on to clinch three more caps.

Welcome to Hayes Lane, Cole!
