Following up visits to the Princess Royal University Hospital and ST Mark’s CE Primary School earlier this week, representatives of the Club paid visit to Highfield School, which the Club is now delighted to be working with on a growing basis.
Each class in the Juniors wrote two questions to grill the high number of first team players who attended, including; George Porter, Luke Coulson, Joe Quigley, Frankie Raymond, John Goddard, Frankie Sutherland, Jack Holland, Roger Johnson, Adam Mekki, Sam Wood, Jake Goodman and David Gregory. After the players finished answering the many questions posed, Community Manager Matt Hall informed the pupils that the Club would be welcoming Highfield Junior and Infant Schools to the match against Eastleigh on 26th January, as our School of the day! When asked who would be joining us on the day, a vast majority of the school raised their hands with delight.Following the assembly, the first teamers went through a warm up drill with the Girls Squad, before coaching them in an inter-squad match. The players then repeated the process with the boys squad, and it was clear to see during both sessions that the Bromley players were getting into it!
George Porter commented; “It was really good to come over here today, I enjoyed myself! When the teacher asked the children how many of them supported Bromley, there were a lot of hands up. We went and watched the girls and boys train and the standard was fantastic. We were all getting into it, and there were some very competitive games.
The Club look forward to returning to Highfield School in the near future.
