Club host National League U11s Cup South East Finals

  • Community

Bromley Football Club had the pleasure of hosting the National League U11s Cup South East finals on Thursday.

Schools representing Bromley, Dartford, Dover Athletic, Dulwich Hamlet, Maidstone United and Welling United competed in both a mixed and Girls only tournament, with the winners of each progressing to the South Finals, where they will play for the chance to face the winners of the Northan finals at Wembley Stadium, prior to the National League playoff final.

The finals for both tournaments saw Bromley pitted against Dartford, and it ended honours even, as Dartford (Wentworth Primary) were the winners of the mixed tournament, with Bromley (Scotts Park) coming out on top in the Girls tournament.

National League director Shahid Azeem was present to watch the drama unfold, as the teams played through adverse weather conditions on the Club’s 3G stadium pitch.

Community manager Matt Hall oversaw the competition and commented; “It has been a privilege to host this on behalf of the National League. The standard of football we have seen here this afternoon has been fantastic, and we’d like to thank all of the Clubs and Schools who’ve taken part. We are very grateful for the help of Kim and Ashleigh Bushnell and Delyth Davies from the Bromley School Games; without them, this wouldn’t have been possible. Good luck to the two teams in the next round!”

We’ll be following the progress of Scotts Park who will be representing us, and will keep supporters updated.
