Here at Bromley Football Club, we are delighted to host PAN disability football sessions each week!
Sessions, which are priced at £3 each, take place on Tuesday evenings from 6-7pm and are open to anyone aged 12-25 who are registered disabled.
Come along and enjoy sessions facilitated by experienced, qualified and DBS checked coaches on our FA approved all weather 3G pitches!
The Scheme works closely with the National League Trust and is proudly sponsored by our friends at Macks Properties, as well as being affiliated with the Kent FA.
Neel Patel of Macks Properties, who have recently pledged their support towards the programme, commented; “It’s an honour for Macks Properties to be part of this new initiative encouraging players from all spectrums of our community to fully embrace the Beautiful Game. I applaud those who have worked to make this scheme a reality for it will undoubtedly bring joy to all who have enrolled. I can’t wait to be a part of this journey with all our players. Together, We Are Bromley!”
Matt Hall, Community Manager and lead on the project commented; “We are delighted with how the scheme has progressed in its first year, and with the support of a valued partner in Macks Properties, we have already been able to source new equipment for the attendees. We pride ourselves on providing football opportunities for all, and this is only one of many areas we do that in.”
Michael Kitteridge, Assistant Headteacher at Glebe School, the project’s partner school, commented; “The project involving Glebe students has been a remarkable success. Students from across all three key stages have been involved in the evening football club. Those students involved have displayed a sense of pride in belonging to such a prominent club in the local area. This has enabled them to increase self-esteem, behaviour, attendance and their attainment. The link between the two organisations is having a wider impact across the whole school with students wanting to get involved in both football and being aware of their personal health and well-being.
The older students who attend the club have demonstrated their leadership qualities and now take charge of the whole school lunchtime football clubs. I have been involved in PE and School Sport for over twenty five years and this project set up in collaboration with Bromley FC has been the best I have ever been involved in. It places the most disadvantaged young people in society right at the heart of the whole project ensuring they feel valued and part of something big. As a school we recognise this on an individual and group basis in newsletters, assembly and parent consultation evenings. A huge thanks and well done to Bromley FC for facilitating such an incredible opportunity!”
