The Club are proud to announce that eight players from the Bromley Football Club Academy will be given a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel to the United States of America and study educational soccer scholarships. They will study at some of the most recognised universities in the U.S.
One of these, Nathan Asiedu, will be competing in the Hartland Conference League. Nathan joined the academy back in 2016, playing mainly as a left-wing back. During his time with the academy, he achieved a Triple Distinction in his BTEC Sport Level 3 Qualification, as well as Level 2 in Active IQ. He also undertook a Personal Training course, in which he achieved Level 3.
Nathan has now been awarded an 80% U.S. soccer scholarship in Claremore, Oklahoma at the Rogers State University.
This is a groundbreaking opportunity for Nathan and another success story for our Bromley Football Club Academy scholars.
Nathan added, “I would like to thank all the coaching and teaching staff at Bromley Football Club for supporting my pathway and helping me achieve the grades I needed in order to access the scholarship in the United States. I cannot wait to get started in August and would like to thank Mark Hammond especially for making this happen.”
The full interview with Nathan can be heard on next week’s Ravens Weekly podcast.
