AFC Fylde 2-2 Bromley

  • Men's

Despite a good performance, Bromley squandered a two goal lead at Mill Farm to only take a point back home.

Frankie Sutherland put the Ravens in the lead after a superb counter attack, and tireless work from Luke Wanadio, who put the ball on a plate for Frankie Sutherland to sweep home from the centre of the penalty area, leaving the goalkeeper helpless.

The Ravens thought they were two goals to the good minutes later, but Brett Williams’ close range effort was adjudged to have been offside.

Just a handful of minutes into the second half, Bromley did double their lead, as Josh Rees side footed Sutherland’s corner into the back of the net in front of the 63 travelling Bromley fans.

However, two mad minutes saw Bromley’s lead disintegrate. Goals from Serhat Tasdemir, firing home from the edge of the box, and Danny Rowe left Bromley shellshocked and unable to respond. George Porter nearly won it for Bromley with the last kick of the game, but his effort was agonisingly wide, ensuring that the two sides shared the points.
