After the appointment of a new manager towards the end of November when they were lying in 21st position, Chesterfield have risen up the League table. The Spireites have struggling somewhat in the National League since their relegation from the Football League at the end of the 2017-18 season.
They are currently challenging for a play off place in 5th position in the table with 52 points from 31 games completed. Having won 14 of the 22 games under the new manager, they have also kept 14 clean sheets during this time.
Last Saturday Chesterfield came from behind at Kings Lynn Town to win by the odd goal in three; whilst on Tuesday evening they were held at home to a goal less draw by Borehamwood.
On the two visits to their ground, Bromley drew 1-1 on 27th November 2018 when George Porter was the goal scorer, and last season won 2-1 on 7th December 2019 when Ben Williamson and an own goal gave the Hayes Lane side the three points.
As mentioned above, the return fixture is scheduled for Saturday 17th April at Hayes Lane, kick-off 3.00 pm.
