Bush commits to the Club

Bromley Football Club are delighted to announce that defender Chris Bush has signed a new deal at Hayes Lane, becoming the third player to do so within the past week.

The 28 year old, who mainly played as a centre-back last season, has transitioned to left back with great effect this season, making that spot his own and putting in a run of impressive performances, and a late, late stunner at Maidenhead back in November.

The former Lincoln City man is a seasoned performer at National League level, having joined from Ebbsfleet United along with team mate Michael Cheek ahead of the 2019/20 season and weighed in with five goals in a shortened campaign.

Manager Neil Smith was delighted to retain his services; “It’s great to get this tied up along with all the other deals we’ve done. In difficult circumstances, it’s brilliant to have Chris agree to sign on again. He’s made the move to left back and grown into it seamlessly, showing us what he’s capable of.”

Chris Bush was delighted to sign the new deal; “Really pleased, really happy. It was very easy and quick to do and given the situation I’m just glad it has been done.”

Speaking more broadly about his time at Hayes Lane he commented; “It has been really enjoyable, it has probably been the best part of my career in terms of having the foundation and stability.”

Bush spoke highly of the Club’s ambition on cementing his stay at Bromley; “The facilities are second to none. Being at the Club everyday you see things actively being done and that’s the most important thing, seeing the direction the Club wants to go in. You just want to be a part of it and I’m glad to still be a part of it. It is a credit to the Chairman and all of the staff, especially during this time, that so much is still moving forward at the Club.”
