Busy first week of pre-season training

  • Men's

Last week saw Neil Smith’s men return for pre season training ahead of the 2017/18 Vanarama National League campaign.

On the opening day the players were greeted by the management and had their weight and other details recorded ahead of a light fitness session.

The second day saw the team begin their baseline testing work done on cardio and endurance. This was supported by the new GPS software (more on this coming up on the official website next week!) along with your more traditional methods such as the bleep test.

The opening week also saw the involvement of the club’s Academy scholars and mainly consisted of fitness work and Friday and Saturday were no different.

On Friday the outfield players were at Norman Park Athletics Track for a series of running sessions while Glyn Shimell, David Gregory and the Academy goalkeepers took to the 3G training pitch.

Saturday morning it was a change of location as the team met up at Beckenham Place Park for more cardio, endurance and power work.

We’ll continue to keep supporters updated with pre-season right here on the official club website.
