David Cooke to move on

Bromley Football Club can today confirm that Safety Officer and Stadium Manager David Cooke will be moving onto pastures new.

‘Cookie’, as he is affectionately known by staff and players, became a full-time member of staff in 2015 upon the Club’s promotion to the National League and has held a number of roles during his time at Hayes Lane before becoming the Stadium Manager and Safety Officer. He had previously been volunteering for the club during the title-winning season of 2014-15.

During almost six-years at the Club, he achieved both an IOSH Qualification and an NVQ Level 4 in Spectator Safety, as well as playing a key role in the Club’s Ground Grading in recent years, as well as working on obtaining the Safety Certificate for the Glyn Beverly Stand.

David commented; “It’s been the most incredible six years at Bromley Football Club. I am very proud of what I have achieved here. I’ve made some amazing and lifelong friends along the way. I can’t wait to come back to Hayes Lane as a fan and have a beer with everyone! Thank you to everyone who has been a part of my journey.”

General Manager Jeff Hutton added, “David came into the Club during an event-filled summer following promotion back in 2015 and his immense dedication and hard work has assisted the Club greatly during our transition into a full-time football club. It’s been a pleasure to witness his professional development throughout his time at Hayes Lane, I know he won’t be a stranger and he will be looking forward to returning to the terrace as a proud supporter.”

Everyone at Bromley Football Club would like to wish David the very best of luck for his future endeavours, and look forward to seeing him at Hayes Lane again soon.
