Full Time: Cheltenham Town 4-1 Bromley

  • Men's

Bromley made a couple of changes to the side that lost at home to Tranmere Rovers. Alex Wall started for Bromley upfront along side Adam Cunnington with Moses Emmanuel staring on the wing.

The Lillywhites had the first half chance of the game as Rodgers headed wide from a Cunnington cross after good work from Emmanuel down the wing.

It was the home side who took the lead on nineteen minutes. Dan Holman give too much time on the edge of the Bromley box as he turned and fired a great strike into to the top corner.

Five minutes later and it was two for Cheltenham as Dan Holman found himself with space in the far corner of the box before hitting a strike across goal and into the bottom far corner of the net.

The home side kept the majority of possession for the remainder of the half and Julian was called into action late in the half to make a finger tip save to deny the home side. Holman also had one last chance of the half to get his hat-trick but his strike looped just over the bar from close range.

It was an awful start to the second half with Chorley coming off injured moments before Danny Wright found himself unmarked in the six yard box to give the home side a 3-0 lead from a corner. Bromley then gifted Cheltenham a fourth just after the hour mark failing to clear their lines before Danny Wright pounced for his second of the game. Wall grabbed a consolation goal with a great left foot strike late on before Goldberg also thought he got on the goal sheet with a nice finish only to be adjudged offside.

A day to forget for the Lillywhites who were backed by a fantastic 104 Bromley supporters. A big thank you from the Club to everyone who made the journey.
