The Official Bromley FC Podcast caught up with Manager Neil Smith ahead of today’s game with Forest Green Rovers on a number of subjects.
On appointing a replacement for Steve Lovell, “I’m going to take stock, I’ve had loads of names thrown at me, I’ve had loads of phone calls, I want to make sure it’s the right decision and I’m not going to be rushed into it. I’ve got the help of the team around me so there is no immediate rush and we will go through a process of getting candidates and interviewing them.”
On Reece Prestedge, “He wanted to play first team football, which I couldn’t guarantee and with his contract up at the end of the season he needs to play in order to impress someone else should we not look to offer anything. He’s been a fantastic player for this football club as part of the league winning side, so he’ll always get a warm welcome.”
On Michael Ngoo, “He’s been getting himself fit and training everyday, at the moment he is with a league club in order to get fit quicker and they may be trying to get a deal done with him but I’ve spoken to him and he is still part of our plans if nothing happens.”
On today’s clash with Forest Green Rovers, “We had such a great December, so to start the year like we did at Sutton was disappointing but for sixteen games on the trot the team have been tremendous and we’ve worked hard again at training to hopefully get ourselves back to winning ways.”
The full interview can be heard on the Official Bromley FC Podcast which will go live this evening after our game with Forest Green Rovers.
