We caught up with Manager Neil Smith following the 1-0 win at Tonbridge Angels in the Kent Senior Cup.

“Very pleased with the result, there were some good aspects out there, players that needed to get games like Chorley, Higgs and Dymond, I don’t like to highlight individuals but I thought they were excellent tonight and another ninety minutes under the belt for Dan Johnson who performed really well. It was a good performance and delighted for Tobi to get his goal. It was more of a fitness exercise for us having not had the game on Saturday and looking to prepare correctly for the Boreham Wood game.

“We have a training session Thursday to see where everyone is at. It will be a tough game, they were 2-0 up against Notts County and just let it go at the end but they are still in it so maybe they’ll be coming to us with their mind on the FA Cup but they are doing really well at the moment with a good management team but hopefully our preparation, including tonights win, will give us a good chance.”
