Kellen Fisher joins Sky Bet Championship side Norwich City

Bromley Football Club can confirm that Kellen Fisher has joined Sky Bet Championship side Norwich City for an undisclosed fee.

The 19-year-old is a product of our Academy and Professional Development set-up here at Hayes Lane, playing a huge role in both of our historic FA Youth Cup runs before becoming a key part of our U23’s side.

The full-back then broke onto the First Team scene during the 2021-22 season, making his debut away at Dover Athletic in the FA Trophy.

Another full 90 soon followed as he was selected again in the same competition, this time away at Tonbridge Angels where he went on to receive praise from the fans and Manager Andy Woodman after the game.

However, it was last season that saw Fisher really hit the ground running. He made his Vanarama National League debut in our first home game of the campaign against Altrincham before playing the full 90 a couple of weeks later at Dagenham & Redbridge.

The 19-year-old continued his U23’s duties before spending time on loan at Cray Wanderers where he was later recalled after a successful spell.

Fisher then became a regular under Andy Woodman, playing the majority of the second half of 2022/23 where he’d make a total of 25 league appearances, picking up a number of Man of the Match awards in the process, aswell as winning Player of the Month for January.

His consistent performances were awarded with a new professional deal at Hayes Lane in February before going on to help us finish in the play-offs.

It got even better for Kellen after the season finale as he picked up the Supporters’ Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season award before clinching the Non-league Paper Young Player of the Year award too.

Speaking after the move, manager Andy Woodman said: “From day one when I came to Bromley I could see Kellen was a really good young talent.

“The key for me was when to expose him to First Team football and once I did, he just excelled. I’m extremely proud and chuffed to have seen another young player under my coaching career progress. Kellen will no doubt have a bright future.”

Everyone at Bromley Football Club thanks Kellen for his efforts and wishes him all the best for the future.

We caught up with Kellen back in February in a special feature interview which you can watch by clicking here.
