Loan Watch – 21st March

  • Men's

As we focused on our clash with Wrexham on Saturday, we were also keeping one eye on our loan players who returned to action too.

Starting with Kory Roberts who has been impressing in a Dartford shirt since making the move in January, he clinched back-to-back Man of the Match awards on Saturday. The Darts drew 1-1 with Havant & Waterlooville with Roberts netting their only goal just shy of the half-hour mark.

Staying with the National League South and Ben Margetson and Marcus Sablier both made their Welling United debut 24 hours after making the move. Welling clinched a 1-0 win over Chelmsford City with the duo playing the full 90 minutes.

It was also a winning Saturday for Billericay Town too. However, Sam Skeffington and Toby Stevenson weren’t in the squad.

Archie Burnett started for Leatherhead as they clinched a vital three points, beating East Thurrock 3-1 at home on Saturday. Palace Francis played the final half-an-hour.

It proved to be a disappointing afternoon for Finlay Lovatt’s Merstam though, losing 3-1 at home to Hornchurch. The youngster played the full 90 minutes.

Moving on to Sunday and it was to be a goal fest at Hayes Lane as Cray Wanderers lost 4-3 at home to Bowers & Pitsea. Ravens forward Soul Kader featured for over an hour.

We wish all of our loan players all the best ahead of this week’s fixtures.
