Marcus Dinanga becomes latest summer recruit

Bromley Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of forward Marcus Dinanga on a permanent deal from National League side Gateshead Football Club, subject to EFL and FA approval.

The 27-year-old arrives at Hayes Lane following a hugely successful season for The Heed, boasting an impressive record of 20 goals in 42 league appearances, including one against his new club at Hayes Lane in September, which saw Andy Woodman’s Bromley side triumph 3-1.

The striker began his career at Burton Albion, but did not actually play any games for the Brewers, going out on loan, first to Matlock Town, where he only featured three times, before he hit the ground running at Telford in the 2017/18 campaign, netting 18 goals in 42 games. A short stint at Hartlepool United followed, before the frontman returned permanently to Telford for another two seasons.

Dinanga received his first EFL move in 2020, signing for Stevenage in League Two before going on to score his first EFL goal against Colchester United in a 3-1 loss for The Boro.

Chesterfield, in the National League, was the next destination for Dinanga’s career, followed by Altrincham in 2021, where he went out on loan to Dartford and Kidderminster, both in the National League South. A return to Altrincham was on the cards for Marcus, where he played 24 times in the National League in the 2022/23 campaign, bagging five goals.

Dinanga put pen to paper for Gateshead in February 2023, playing 68 times and scoring 32 goals across two seasons and has now made the move to the Ravens to be a part of the Bromley EFL adventure.

Welcome to Hayes Lane, Marcus!
