Match preview: Bromley vs Solihull Moors

Solihull Moors sit fourth in the National League on 78 points from 41 matches.

The Moors have won three out of their last five matches, beating Weymouth, Aldershot and Barnet, drawing with Wrexham and losing to Stockport.

Their top scorer is Andy Dallas, the 22-year-old forward has picked up 21 goals during this campaign.

Solihull were promoted to the National League after winning the National League North in the 2015/16 season.

The Moors have gone to have 16th, 18th, 2nd, 9th and 11th placed finishes in the fifth tier.

The Opposition Manager

The Solihull manager is Neil Ardley who was appointed on 14th June 2021 following his departure from Notts County three months prior.

He has guided the West Midlands side to fourth place at this point of the National League season.

Ardley has managed 48 competitive fixtures with the Moors, achieving 26 wins.

The 49-year-old has previously managed the Cardiff City Academy, AFC Wimbledon and Notts County. With the Dons, he achieved promotion from League Two to League One in 2016, winning the play-offs. 

During his playing career, Ardley played as a midfielder. He featured for Wimbledon, Watford, Cardiff City and Millwall, making over 400 appearances in league football.

The Previous Meeting

Bromley last took on Solihull Moors at Hayes Lane on 12th March in the FA Trophy quarter-final.

Despite an early goal for the Moors through Callum Maycock, the Ravens recorded a 3-1 win thanks to two goals from Michael Cheek and one from James Alabi.
