The Ravens returned to winning ways today, beating Solihull Moors 2-1 at a very cold and wet Hayes Lane.
Both sides started well, with Solihull getting the pick of the chances, forcing a goal-line clearance from Chris Bush early on, to keep the scores level.
George Alexander came close for the Ravens just before the scoring was opened by the Bromley debutant, Scott Wagstaff, who only signed for the club yesterday and has already made a name for himself at Hayes Lane.
Just before the referee blew his whistle for half-time. Michael Cheek doubled his side’s lead, finishing off an open goal, after some very unselfish play from Alexander.
In the second-half, The Moors kept knocking on the door, coming close to pulling one back on multiple occasions, before James Ball finally found the net for his side with 20 minutes to go, and it looked to be a shaky end of the game for Andy Woodman’s men.
It was an end-to-end finale, but Bromley held on to clinch a vital three points.
Up next, a trip to Aldershot Town in the FA Trophy
