Match report: Eastleigh 0-2 Bromley

  • Men's

The Ravens returned to winning ways this weekend, beating Eastleigh 2-0 away from home.

The first chance fell to the hosts though as Brett Pitman unleashed a fantastic strike which bounced just wide of the post.

Up the other end and Chris Bush headed wide Billy Bingham’s corner.

On nine minutes, Joe Partington almost got one over his former side, seeing his shot blocked.

Louis Dennis then saw his curling effort whistle just wide of the post before the dead-lock was finally broken. Billy Bingham perfectly struck an effort from the edge of the box, finding the bottom corner.

Dennis almost made it two after latching onto a Jude Arthurs cross, but his shot from close range was saved.

One did become two on 79 minutes though, another stunning strike, this time by James Vennings who bagged his first for the club.

The Ravens then held on to clinch a vital three points as attentions now turn to Monday as we host Maidenhead United at Hayes Lane, tickets here >
