Bromley battled to a hard fought draw at Moss Rose on Saturday, in a fairly even contest in which both sides would take a draw.

In the first half, Gime Toure’s powerful effort was the pick of the bunch in terms of chances for both sides, with Bromley goalkeeper David Gregory reacting well to tip it over the crossbar.

Brett Williams came relatively close to scoring a spectacular goal to open his Bromley account, but his first time bicycle kick from 35 yards fell kindly into Shwan Jalal’s arms.

Koby Arthur and former Bromley trialist Tyrone Marsh shot high and wide respectively for the hosts as the first half came to a close.

In the second half, whist both sides focussed more on attack, chances were still not at a premium. Iffy Allen came close for the Ravens after being set by Louis Dennis, but his  curling shot was just over the bar.

As a game of pinball in the Bromley area ensued midway through the second half, Gregory pulled off a superb save to deny Danny Whitaker from smashing home the loose ball, as the game turned to an end to end contest.

In the final chance of note, Josh Rees nearly won the match for Bromley deep into injury time, but his shot from Frankie Sutherland’s low corner was straight into the arms of substitute goalkeeper Billy O’Brien.
