Following Bromley’s home fixture last weekend against Maidenhead United, they have another home game this Saturday when Altrincham visit Hayes Lane for the return Vanarama National League fixture, kick-off 3.00pm.
Bromley visited Altrincham in November and returned to Hayes Lane with all three points, courtesy of a James Alabi goal in the first half.
This will be only the second time that the Greater Manchester side have visited this particular part of Kent, the last time being in front of the BT cameras on 14 November 2015, which was Bromley’s first season in The National League. On that occasion they went home with a 3-1 victory under their belts, but the three points did not prevent them from relegation at the end of that season. However, they regained their higher league status at the end of last season via the play-offs.
Last weekend they were beaten at home 3-2 by Boreham Wood, after being reduced to ten men in the first half; and on Tuesday evening they went down again away to the improving, Chesterfield, who won by the only goal of the game.
These results have seen Altrincham drop to 10th place in the League table with 33 points from their 25 games completed. Bromley could jump above them with victory, as the Kent Club are just two points behind them with three games in hand over their opponents.
