Preview: Ravens vs Linnets

  • Men's

Tuesday evening we extend a welcome to all associated with Kings Lynn Town Football Club, who will be visiting Hayes Lane for the very first time.

On 1st December, Bromley travelled to Norfolk and returned home with maximum points in a 4-1 victory – our biggest away win since 20 January 2018 when we overcame Torquay United 4-0 at Plainmoor.

Our visitors gained promotion to the National League last season by virtue of winning the North Division on points per game, having finished in second position, two points behind York City but with two games in hand. However, they had headed the table for long periods before the season was abandoned.

The present Club were only formed in 2010 out of the ashes of former club Kings Lynn, who went out of existence in 2009 when they were wound up by the High Courts.

Bromley and the former club did meet in Season 1937-38 when the Kent side travelled to Norfolk for a 1st Round Proper tie in the FA Cup and won 4-0.

Currently Kings Lynn occupy 21st position in the League table with 18 points form their 17 fixtures played.  They were without a game at the weekend, and last Tuesday’s fixture at Chesterfield was a victim of the poor weather conditions in that area on the night.
