Ravens sign forward Olufela Olomola from Wealdstone

Bromley Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of forward Olufela Olomola from fellow National League side Wealdstone for an undisclosed fee, subject to National League and FA approval.

Our newest recruit, who netted against us for the Stones on two occasions last season, will wear the number 29 shirt.

Olomola has made eight National League appearances so far this campaign and played 84 minutes at the RELOC8 EM Community Stadium in our 1-1 draw with Wealdstone in August.

The 26-year-old, who bagged seven goals in the National League last season, began his career within the youth set-up at Arsenal before moving to Southampton where he’d go on to captain their U18’s before making his Saints senior debut in 2016, coming on as an early sub in the EFL Cup against Sunderland.

The 2017-18 season saw Olomola gain his first taste of regular men’s football, spending the campaign on loan at League Two side Yeovil Town.

More EFL experience would follow in 2018 as he left Southampton to join League One outfit Scunthorpe United where he’d spend three years, scoring his first goal in the EFL Trophy against Mansfield Town.

During his time with the Iron, he returned to Yeovil for another loan spell, bagging three goals in 17 League Two appearances before five strikes in 27 followed in another loan spell at fellow fourth tier side Carlisle United.

Hartlepool United proved to be his next destination in 2021. However, it wasn’t long before he was back at Huish Park for a third loan spell, but was quickly recalled by the Pools.

Wealdstone came calling after his Hartlepool exit and he made an immediate impact, netting on his debut in a 3-2 opening day win over Bromley before bagging the Stones’ first in the reverse fixture in December 2022 as the Ravens drew 3-3.
