Report: Bromley 0-5 Eastleigh

  • Men's

Bromley suffered their heaviest defeat in some time, after Eastleigh came away with a convincing 5-0 win at Hayes Lane.

The home side got off to the worst possible start, as after just five minutes, former Sunderland striker Mikael Mandron capitalised on a poor clearance and took a touch before dispatching the ball past Alan Julian in the Bromley goal.

It was Mandron who scored his side’s second too, after 25 minutes, with a similar effort to the first, after Aaron Cresswell’s shot was blocked.

Nine minutes before half time, Bromley’s task was made even more difficult as Connor Dymond was shown a red card for an alleged two-footed challenge.

After half time, Alfie Pavey had two good chances in as many minutes for Bromley, but curled his first effort over the bar before shooting narrowly wide soon after. Jake Howells rushed into the box unapposed, and finished low past the onrushing Julian.

After 63 minutes, Mandron sealed his hat-trick after a neat one-two with Andy Drury, and finished clinically. Four became five eight minutes later, as James Constable’s low cross was cooly converted from close range by Adam Dawson.
