Bromley Football Club are pleased to confirm the signing of Kory Roberts, following his departure from Walsall.

The highly rated 22 year old, who can play at centre back, full back and central midfield, becomes Neil Smith’s second signing following the return to pre-season.

Roberts, 22, had been at Walsall having joined their Academy aged 16. He made his Football League debut in December 2016 and went on to make 20 League One appearances in the 2017-18 season.

Following a spell on the sidelines due to injury, Roberts made his return to first team football last season and now bolsters Neil Smith’s defensive options.

Manager Neil Smith spoke highly of the young defender;

“Kory is someone we have been talking to for a while now and League clubs had been interested in him. So, again, to get someone of his quality and his potential in to our Club is fantastic. It just shows you where the Club wants to go and the players we want to try and get in.”

Kory shared his thoughts on the Club after joining;

“It feels good to be here. It was a tough first session but the lads have all been really welcoming, it feels good to be part of the team.”

Kory joins Liam Trotter as Neil Smith’s latest additions to the first-team squad. Did you miss the news on Liam Trotter’s signing? Catch up by clicking HERE.
