Sam Long returns from Lincoln City

Bromley Football Club are delighted to announce the return of goalkeeper Sam Long on a permanent deal from Sky Bet League One side Lincoln City, subject to EFL and FA approval.

The 21-year-old initially arrived at Hayes Lane on loan from the Imps in January 2023, making one National League appearance in a 2-1 defeat against eventual title winners Wrexham, before heading out on another loan to Scottish side Falkirk.

It was at The Bairns that his career really blossomed, featuring 25 times in all competitions, helping his side win Scottish League One after finishing 16 points above a second placed Hamilton Academical, all without losing a single game. Out of the 19 league games that he appeared in, Long kept an impressive nine clean sheets.

Long also experienced a loan spell in Ireland back in 2022 with Irish Premier Division side Drogheda United, who currently sit bottom of the division, appearing 15 times and steering the side away from relegation before going out on loan again to Boston United who operated in the National League North at the time.

Welcome back, Sam!
