Saturday: Details for Gateshead match

This Saturday we welcome Gateshead to Hayes Lane who will be making the 300 mile journey down from Tyne and Wear for our 7th fixture in the Vanarama National League. Gateshead have currently won 5, lost 1 and drawn 1 and are sitting 4th in the National League table. Since the former club Gateshead Town entered liquidation back in 1977, the club has fought its way back to the top of non-league football in the 2008/ 2009 season when they finished 2nd in the Conference North. There best finished came in 2013/ 2014, when they finished 3rd in the league. Gateshead beat Grimsby in the play-off semi-final to earn them a trip to Wembley for the final where they lost 2-1 to Cambridge Untied.

The game will be soft segregated. Away supporters will entire via a dedicated turnstile at the main entrance. Away fans will be hosted in the north stand (car park end) throughout the game and have access to the catering wagon in the corner of the ground. Visiting supporters will have access to the Ravens Bar before, during and after the game. Home supporters will have access to both the Ravens Bar and Glemnet Suite along with the Pizza Hatch and Glemnet Suite Kitchen.

The bars will be open pre match showing Welling United take on Tranmere Rovers live on BT Sport at 12:30pm.

As normal we have a selection of match day specials to tempted you with. Our guest ale – Hadrian & Border Brewery Tyneside Blonde Ale – ABV 3.9% – £3.50 per pint.

We have the usual selection of beers on tap, San Miguel, Carlsberg, Carlsberg Export, and Poretti, As well as bottles of Brewdog Punk IPA, Whitstable Organic Beer to name a couple.

In the way of food, The Pizza Hatch will be open and selling a selection of hot and cold food including Handmade 10 inch pizza with a choice of either Cheese and Tomato or Pepperoni for only £5. The Venue Kitchen will also be open serving the normal breakfasts, sandwiches, burgers & chips etc.

The 40 page match day programme is available on entrance to the ground priced at £2.50

Also, the Ravens Bar will remain open after the game showing San Marino v England in the European Qualifier.
