A tough February was in waiting for a Bromley side who were still looking to recapture the form which saw them have such an impressive start to the season.

With the first day of the month came the first game, the long trip to FC Halifax Town. The hosts were looking to avenge the 5-0 defeat they suffered at Hayes Lane back in October, which was still fresh in their memories. Half an hour into the match, Bromley’s task went from tough, to even tougher. Jack Holland was shown a straight red card for a foul just outside the box, leaving Bromley to play on with ten men. Not only that, but the hosts took the lead from the resulting free kick. They doubled their lead not long after, only for Joe Kizzi to head home and halve the deficit on the stroke of half time. However, despite dominating the second half, Bromley were unable to find a way through, and lost out 2-1.

The next week would see a very special visitor make the trip to Hayes Lane. The Club hosted an evening with Paul Gascoigne on not one but two occasions that week. Not only that, but the England legend popped in to watch a training session, before joining supporters at the match against Solihull the following day. Click here for the full story.

Next up saw fellow out of form side Solihull Moors visit Hayes Lane. With Bromley winless since New Years’ Day and Solihull without a goal in six matches, the result would be all important. Having gone two goals down, Bromley fought back to draw 2-2, thanks to stunning goals from Frankie Raymond and Corey Whitely, the latter of which was deep into injury time.

Then came the Club’s first ever trip to Edgeley Park, as Stockport County lay in wait. Despite ending a three game losing run the week before, a good performance was not enough to gain a point, with the Ravens losing out 1-0, with Hatters’ goalkeeper Ben Hinchliffe pulling off numerous saves to earn the Man of the Match award.

Two home games were next up for Bromley, the first of which being Wrexham. It was to be another disappointing afternoon for the home faithful though, as a goal in each half saw the Welsh side claim the three points for the first time in a fixture at Hayes Lane.

A week went by, as Bromley prepared for another local derby, this time against Sutton United. Despite numerous chances early on, Sutton took the lead through former Bromley man Omar Bugiel, who refused to celebrate. In truth, it was the only chance of note that Sutton had for the entire game, with goalkeeper Nik Tzanev once again pulling off some incredible saves to deny the Ravens.

After a disappointing February, Bromley looked for a fresh start with the BT Sport cameras awaiting once again, this time away to Harrogate Town, a side who were at the top of the form guide. Again, the Ravens more than held their own, but went 1-0 down early on in the second half, but a late, late own goal sealed a deserved point after a professional performance.
