Sell out crowd at Bromley for visit of Palace

Hayes Lane was at full capacity on Thursday evening as Giants from the Premier League Crystal Palace, took on the Conference South Champions Bromley.

Bromley got off to a nervous start, and with only 3 minutes on the clock a cross from Wilfred Zaha found its way on to the foot of Kaikai to open the scoring for Crystal Palace. 4 minutes later Crystal Palace went 2 nil up with a goal from there new signing Patrick Bamford. Palace continued to pressure and on the 16th minute Crystal Palace went 3 nil up after Bamford lost the Bromley defence to slot home his second of the game. Just 2 minutes later Patrick Bamford slotted home Palace’s 4th, giving Bamford his first hatrick for the club in just 14 minutes. Bromley started to settle in to the game after the 20 minute mark and Goldberg gave Bromley one of the team’s first chances with a shot in the box which was saved by the Palace keeper. Crystal Palace then went 5 nil up in the 32nd minute Strike from Dwight Gayle

Bromley Started the second half strong, and only 2 minutes in to the half Bradley Goldberg tested the Palace keeper with a hard shot that could only be pushed away from goal. Both teams continued with spells of pressure as Bromley looked a lot more comfortable, however Crystal Palace got their 6th and final goal thanks to a cross from Dwight Gayle into the box. The ball was not cleared by the Bromley defence and it found its way to Zaha who slotted the ball home.
